Andrea Chebeleu

is the owner and artist behind A Work of Heart Studio in San Jose California that started in 1998.

Andrea loves her daily creative practice and sharing knowledge of materials and processes with others. She finds great joy in breaking down seemingly complicated processes into simple steps and has adopted a guiding principle of "First, Not Only". The attitude of "first, not only" gives us permission to playfully explore without fear.

You can find Andrea teaching live on zoom through her mixed media membership "Watch.Learn.Play" has been open since August 2021 and contains over 350 short mixed media lessons. She also teaches live every month in her San Jose, California studio and now more regularly in her Oregon studio just south of Portland.

When she's not focusing on art and the business, Andrea enjoys learning the art of sourdough and being a baby gardener as she cares for her 5 acre wooded slice of heaven in Oregon.
