Create a 7"x7" board book to add imagery  to cast a vision for 2025 and beyond. This workshop includes all supplies and is held at 176 Race Street, San Jose, CA on Thursday, January 23 from 6-8pm.

Leave with your book, handouts and a great start at an ongoing process of living in and with your vision book as you use it as a prompt for journaling and a place to capture more imagery as your vision becomes more clarified as it is likely to do.

This session is dedicated to actually "living in" your personal art journal, handmade or otherwise. Bring it along and together we can explore mixed media techniques and supplies to make stunning spreads.

Pulling prompts and seeing what happens is one of my favorite approaches to mixed media art making (or at least starting) This time together will expose you to a collection of mixed media techniques you can try time and again in alternating order to achieve different and exciting results each time. You will leave class with a deck of richly layered cards ready for future artwork, art journaling embellishment, card making, affirmation cards, wisdom cards and more. The process and the finished product are pure joy and engaging to the viewer.

Artful Adventures with Miro 

A 3.5-hour journey into symbolic expression

Take your watercolor experience to the journal learning how your colors mix and play with one another. Add a quote or phrase or fill the whole page with colorful shapes and designs. This sort of watercolor play has you learning more about colors, color mixing, brush and water control.

Working on a cohesive series is the focus of this workshop. You will be provided with 6 panels and we will curate papers (painted and printed) and other ephemera, paint and marks to create a series of collage that is harmonious.
